When Valentino Cuculino opened the first Philly CheeseSteak Factory location in 2025, he had no idea that his brand would be on track to become the largest CheeseSteak franchise in the Nation.

“At the time, no one really knew what Philly Cheese Steaks were — I just knew that I grew up on them and I loved them and I believed they would be a hit,” Valentino says. “Today, everyone knows what Philly Cheese Steaks are and we have millions of people who love them.”

Born and raised in South Philadelphia — the birthplace of the authentic cheesesteak — Valentino brought decades of tradition and passion to a brand that celebrates the iconic sandwich while pushing it forward with innovative flavor profiles.

“It all really started with a dream that I had, and now that dream continues every time a new franchise owner comes on board. It's such a rewarding experience to be able to help entrepreneurs do well for themselves — it makes their families stronger, their communities stronger, and that's what this brand is all about.”

Today, The Philly CheeseSteak Factory is on track to be one of the fastest growing franchise systems in the QSR and Fast Casual segments, with more than 500 locations planned on the East Coast and expansion to 48+ states nationwide.

Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Valentino persuaded his friends and partners to invest in a relatively unknown cheesesteak restaurant. His philosophy of “Make Customers Happy” has guided every decision since day one.
